Climate and Biodiversity Lead, Esther Whitehead, leads the implementation of The Funders Commitment on Climate Action, a movement initiated by The Combined Community Trusts Aotearoa and supported by The Centre for Social Impact, where Esther is also an Associate.

Esther brings extensive experience working in the not-for-profit sector, in particular climate change kaupapa. A passionate advocate for the natural environment, Esther has a BSc in Ecology, having worked in Freshwater Research in the UK. She is the founder of Sustainable Queenstown Charitable Trust. Other significant roles include being an educator, author, change facilitator and key researcher on Social Impact and Inclusion. Esther has a unique ability to bring people together to drive purpose.
