As an FCCA signatory, you will connect with peers, share learning, exchange expertise, and help shape the direction of climate and biodiversity philanthropy.
Our member organisations participate in an annual cycle of evaluation and reflection to enable collaborative FCCA reporting, tracking climate and biodiversity funding, assessing progress through the annual Climate Dashboard, and using holistic indicators to better understand the non-financial impacts of decision making.
By learning together and measuring what matters, we can strengthen our collective impact and help create a more resilient and equitable future.
Easing the path to impact
The FCCA is guided by the Kaitiaki Group, a group of signatory representatives who act as guardians of the commitment, providing strategic oversight, stewardship, and direction. The Kaitiaki Group also oversees the Kaupapa of National Significance (KoNS) Fund, a collaborative funding mechanism that pools contributions from signatories to support nationally significant and scalable climate and environmental initiatives. In the last two years signatories have provided over $1.5 million to KoNS.
Through the FCCA, signatories gain access to a community of practice that supports learning, collaboration, and action.

It is easy to get involved
Whether you are just beginning your climate journey or building on existing work, the FCCA provides a flexible framework that can be adapted to your organisation’s capacity and context. Signatories can engage in ways that work for them, while benefiting from shared measures, common language, and a growing body of collective knowledge and practice.
These tools help you stay focused on what matters, and work consistently alongside others in climate philanthropy in Aotearoa. They are designed to not over-burden, whilst providing support and accountability (with a baseline commitment of just 4-10 hours per annum on the annual evaluation and reporting cycle).
Signatory Participation Contribution: supporting shared impact
The FCCA mahi and administration is a collective effort, supported by signatories and enabled through foundational funding from the Combined Community Trusts.
Signatories make an annual contribution, within a flexible contribution model based on capacity, which may include time/resources alongside finance. Contributions go towards the shared infrastructure, formal convening of relationships, learning opportunities, resources/frameworks and collective leadership that make this work possible. Alongside your experience, insight and commitment, your contribution helps build a more connected, strategic and effective approach to climate philanthropy across Aotearoa.
